A Holy Saturday sort of feel!

At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

-John 19:41-42, NIV

When dealing with a cheater and the devastation wrought by their sins, we may feel stuck in Holy Saturday.

-It is a day when dreams seem totally shattered.

-It is a day when the forces of evil seemed to have triumphed.

-It is a day when hope seems far from existence.

In short, the Holy Saturday feeling is a hopeless, despairing sort of feeling that faithful spouses know all too well!

But the good news is Easter morning is coming…

I do not know when your Easter morning will be. It is unlikely it will mean your marriage will be resurrected as that is a miracle–uncommon by definition. But that does not mean you will forever live in this land of depression and grief.

My personal experience is God breathes life back faster than you might suspect, if we let Him.

Part of letting Him is grieving the lost dreams and shattered hopes. We have to let go of our plan and give those losses to the One who understands shattered dreams and rejection.

Trust God through your own Holy Saturday experience. Easter morning is coming!
