There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:…
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.-Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8, NIV
Did you know the Bible tells us a time exists to hate?
So, this means hate is not always wrong. It cannot be a sin if there is a time to do it according to the Bible.
I suspect the hatred is a matter of hating the works of the Devil and sinful wickedness like adultery.
Personally, I think our churches would be healthier places if this sort of godly hatred was taught. It is not the hatred directed at another human. Rather, it is a hatred towards the spiritual forces opposing God.
Such hatred would send a clear message that adultery is not acceptable or tolerated!
The church still has a long way to go to truly take adultery seriously. That is why this blog and ministry continues to exist as a voice calling out in a wilderness.
