For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills….
-Deuteronomy 8:7, NIV
I remember the bad days.
Sometimes, it was all I could do to remind myself to eat. I lost serious weight from the trauma of it all. It is nothing short of miraculous that I was able to hold down a job and find another across the country, literally.
God felt distant during this time.
Yet He was with me. I was not forgotten. Slowly, the darker days started to be replaced with better days.
I am writing today for those still dealing with their own dark days.
You do not see any light. Emotional and spiritual pain is just overwhelming. You wonder if it can get better.
I am here to tell you that you have better days ahead!
God did not leave me in my hole. He walked with me. He wept with me. And He provided for me.
Even though, I did not feel it at the time. He never abandoned me (see Hebrews 13:5).
What God did for me, He can and will do for you! I am confident in that because God keeps His word to His children.
He provides (Mt 6:26), and He will never abandon us (Heb 13:5).
