“How dare you insist I wear my wedding ring!”

A cheater may take off her ring in order to avoid the constant reminder of her infidelity.

This symbolic act speaks volumes.

There is a reason we exchange rings in marriage ceremonies. The symbol is indicative of the vows exchanged between the couple before God and the community.

It should not be shocking to learn cheaters around the world remove their wedding rings while cheating. That act is indicative of a heart who has decided to no longer honor their wedding vows.

What about insisting they wear the wedding ring?

It is wasted effort.

This goes into the same box of things a spouse should never need to be told. If you are telling your spouse this, they are already unfaithful and done with the marriage. This is the cold, hard truth of the matter.

A person who keeps their vows would not remove their wedding ring (except for good reason–i.e. for safety, etc). Cheaters are not honorable people. Sadly, insisting that they start by this small act is asking too much for such a morally bankrupt character.
