Cheater-Speak: “I just needed a break.”

“I just needed  a break from our marriage,” says Cheater.

There is no “Pause” button on the marriage covenant. You are either honoring or dishonoring your covenant commitments.

No “Pause” option.

Living as if one is not married is the ultimate living a lie for a spouse. It is treating one’s spouse with contempt and disregarding one’s chosen obligations before God.

What is “taking a break” from marriage other than living as if one is single and thereby free to entertain other romantic partners?

It is a euphemism for wanting an open relationship–if only temporarily. The Cheater isn’t even honest with themselves when they say this.

Want “a break?” Responsible and truthful adults call it divorce. Conniving Cheaters only call it “a break.”
