Yesterday, I received some disappointing news regarding a management job I interviewed to get. I did not get the job.
I would be lying to say I did not feel sad, angry, and disappointed about this. Yet I also feel relief and hope that, perhaps, God is directing even this disappointment for my good (see Romans 8:28).
When we go through life’s disappointments, we have a choice to make. Do we allow them to undermine our faith or do we take them as opportunities to double-down on our belief in God?
I am choosing to double-down in my belief in my good God.
Jesus loves me more than I can imagine, and he is good. That means I always have hope for a bright future as long as I trust in Him.
