The headline from the Christianity Today article says it all about the sad chapter about the investigation into Ravi Zacharias’ behavior:
“Ravi Zacharias Hid Hundreds of Pictures of Women, Abuse During Massages, and a Rape Allegation.”
The actual report from Miller and Martin, PLLC is particularly disturbing to read (see here). I find the fact this investigation never claims to be exhaustive adds to the horror of the matter. That creates the impression that they just uncovered the tip of the iceberg.
They found enough to establish Ravi Zacharias was involved in sexual misconduct. The report demonstrates this behavior extended over years with Ravi Zacharias using money and his position of power to exploit women. This is a very sick and sad thing.
One thing that I found angering reading the report was how RZ’s family refused to release Lori Anne Thompson from the NDA to speak about her experiences. What has been shared about her story with RZ is consistent with what the investigators found in others’ stories with RZ.
Too bad the family was unwilling to all the light to shine in on these matters. (Plus, the family would not give the investigators access to the electronic devices RZ used during this time. That is telling as well.)
