He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
-2 Corinthians 1:4, NLT
When I started this blog now nearly three years ago, I thought maybe a few friends and family might be interested in occasionally reading what I wrote. This blog has certainly exceeded those low expectations!
Last month (June 2017), the blog was viewed close to 15,000 times as an all time high for monthly views!
Clearly, the need and ministry is much needed.
Believe it or not, I do not write this blog for my own “therapy.” Yet, I do not disagree that writing has helped in my healing process.
Writing and sharing your story are important tools in such a journey (and why I encourage faithful spouses not to bottle up their own).
There would be no need to be so public if my healing was my primary goal. I would write a journal, not a blog.
I continue to write this blog as I see it as a spiritual calling and a living out of 2 Corinthians 1:4.
-People need to know that they are not alone in these experiences.
-They need to hear that they are not to blame for another’s actions and choices.
-And they need to be reminded that they are loved and considered of the highest worth!
So, I will continue…
And, one day, I hope I will be able to announce that I have completed my book on this matter, which remains in process. Stay tuned…
