When dealing with cheaters, I believe a spiritual dimension is at work and this dimension is darkly evil.

A temptation for faithful spouses during this time is to cave to fear. Many of us dislike conflict greatly. So, we are easy target for this demonic spirit of fear.

Fear is used to keep us from drawing healthy boundaries. We just accept whatever out of fear. This is not good.

Sometimes, we need to get to a place where we declare:

Enough!

I know I am still on this journey of learning to set healthy boundaries. So, I invite you as we look towards this coming new year to exercise this muscle and refuse to allow fear to control you. It–after all–is not from God (per 2 Timothy 1:7).
