Forbidden Fruit

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

-Genesis 3:6, NKJV

Forbidden Fruit

I think part of the thrill Cheaters get from cheating is the forbidden fruit phenomenon. They enjoy the taboo nature of the experience.

Let’s be honest:

Cheaters are really only thinking about themselves when they cheat. It is about serving their own egos and stealing forbidden pleasure.

This dynamic is as old as the Garden of Eden.

Something is forbidden. The sinner thinks that they know better than God who forbids it. They take it and defy God’s plan causing great destruction for many–especially their family when it comes to Cheaters.

Nothing is totally new. Humans are humans. Sadly, we have had this story for hundreds of years, yet people still succumb to the same cycle of temptation leading to sin… just the details are a little different.

The forbidden “fruit” remains calling to people bent on defying God.
