Change is hard.
I think this is doubly so during the holidays. Maybe you are having a very different holiday season this year. I don’t know.
What I do know is opportunities arise with change.
This Christmas Eve…
What gifts to you see with the change?
Some of my life’s greatest joys have come after my divorce from my cheater. The change paved the way for this new life.
I have a new family.
Change–and God through this painful change–gave me the gifts of a new family both immediate in Mrs and Munchkin and new, wonderful in-laws.
Also, I have a wonderful career doing meaningful work.
Furthermore, I have this online ministry plus a book (!) I wrote that I never would have had without my difficult change experience.
What gifts from change are you celebrating this Christmas Eve?
It is easy to focus on what we do not have. I would encourage you to exercise your muscles of gratitude to focus on what you have been given this Christmas Eve.

I appreciate my increased freedom. I don’t feel so attached to anything in this life since it can be easily taken from me. I know that nothing eternal is dependent on a human relationship.
