16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
-I Thessalonians 5:16-18, NLT
When going through infidelity discovery and divorce, it is too easy to focus on what we have lost and the injustice of it all.
We start losing sight of what we DO have! I know. I have been there. It is a very natural place to be under such circumstances.
Yet we are call to give thanks in “ALL” circumstances!
I think this is to counter act our natural tendencies to get stuck in a downward spiral. We need to remind our souls of the good gifts God continues to give us even in difficult circumstances.
One of those gifts is this community.
This is one thing that was driven home to me at Chumpalooza 1.0. We are an amazing community of people. It was an honor to connect with you in person at that conference–i.e. those who could make it.
Another gift is our pets.
The orange-headed parrot is my special buddy. He laughs with me. What a joy to have an animal who is a good companion.
