⁸ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

If your god is so small that you fully understand him and his ways, then you are not worshiping God.

The living God is beyond our understanding. His ways go beyond our ways. He cannot be contained by our minds.

Anyone who has lost a respect for such mystery has really made an idol of his or her ego.

God’s ways are higher. And I am thankful that is the case. Why? Because I know, I would make a bad god.
