And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

God is a good bet.

I know it does not always feel that way. However, that is what it means to have faith.

God calls us to believe beyond what we see and are currently experiencing. If we felt it or experienced it, we would not need faith. It would be easy.

When faced with difficult circumstances, we can either believe the lies of Satan and deny God’s goodness, or we can choose to believe the truth that God’s goodness remains.

I am glad I chose to bet on God. He definitely rewarded my faith in Him.

God is a good bet.

Today, I have a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. Along with that stronger relationship, God saw fit to restore a great deal in my life. He gave me an incredible job, an amazing wife, and a daughter who fills me with joy.

But most importantly, I learned that whatever comes I can rely on God and trust His goodness–even and especially–when He does not feel good and just.
