“As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”
-2 Samuel 5:24, NIV
When God has plans for you, He goes before you as He did for King David in this verse.
I have seen this over and over, again. Most recently, I have experienced God leveling the way for me in my new job with the federal government.
Things in the natural might look dim.
I remember those days very vividly. They were very dark days around my first marriage’s “bloody” ending.
Yet what I see God do, over and over, is continue with His plans. His plans will NOT be thwarted!
Natural barriers or troubles are nothing for God to overcome. When He has placed a call on your life to do something, He will make it happen.
Yes, we need to be open to the call. Plus, we may need to do some work. However, I am under no illusion that I am where I am today because
I made it happen.
God made it happen.
I was faithful to step into what He was doing with and through me. However, God is who pushed it forward.
This gives me comfort.
I am comforted knowing that the “show” is on God’s shoulders. No need to worry as God is going to find a way. I simply need to show up and do my best at walking forth in what God has prepared for me. He will–and HAS–done the rest.
