Grateful for what I did not want

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.

-Psalm 136:1, NIV

Naively, I thought I’d be a “miracle story” until the end of my first marriage. That is probably why it hit so hard when the divorce was finalized.

I never wanted the divorce. If left to my own devices, I probably would have been stuck in an awful, infidelity-ravaged marriage. Mercifully, God released me from my Cheater.

Today, I am grateful for a divorce I did not want.

It cleared the way for the full life I have today. Without my divorce, I would never have met Mrs. DM and Munchkin. I, certainly, would have never become a parrot owner. Plus, I probably wound not have achieved what I have professionally.

God knew I needed the surgery of a divorce from my Cheater.

He was good to me even when I thought He was being cruel. God is truly good all the time!
