“But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live.”
-I Corinthians 8:6a, NLT
Happy Father’s Day, brothers!
I know this holiday is fraught. However, I hope you find ways to enjoy your special day.
You, faithful spouse, are an amazing parent having navigated these waters while still caring for your munchkins.
The grief around this holiday is real, too.
Lost time with your kids because you married a woman who lacked character is tough. Some here might have even lost a child because your cheater decided to abort. Others might have wanted to be a biological father but have been denied this in other ways. It is one more dream that died.
I want to encourage you that there are many ways to father. Not all biological father’s are dads. You can still be that dad to others. I know some of you already are.
Enjoy your day! And it is okay, too, to grieve.
