A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity.-Proverbs 17:17, NKJV
Labor Day has a special, personal place in my heart.
When my world was coming crashing down, I went on a trip to visit my best friend over Labor Day weekend. He lived, at the time, in New York City.
That visit was one of the few bright spots during a very dark season of change.
One of the best part of the time together is that another friend of ours visited at the same time. So, we had a wonderful time going through the city. It was a time of blessed distraction.
I am very grateful for the memories made that weekend and even more grateful for those two true friends!
