I testify to God’s faithfulness.

And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness….”

-Exodus 34:6, NIV

When I was going through my divorce from my cheater, the future looked extremely bleak on the employment front for me.

I was SOOO close to giving up on being a pastor. Finding a full-time ministerial job was proving to be an impossible task. The recession was not easy on my kind as far as employment was concerned.

But God…

He intervened by opening up an opportunity to do one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) over the summer. This experience confirmed my call and helped me see God had made me to be a chaplain.

As a testimony to God’s faithfulness, today marks the day that I became a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) nine years ago.

God knew, even and especially, when I did not. He remained faithful even while I struggled in the valley of despair and disappointment.

Hold on, especially, when you are going through that valley. It won’t last forever, even if feels like it.

God is always faithful!
