“Why did you grab your contraception while I was away,” asks faithful spouse.
“Oh, I was just grabbing things,” says Cheater.
Cheaters might grab their contraception and then boldly lie about the why.
There is only one reason to grab contraception–namely, to have sex. Cheater is having or is about to have sex with someone who is not their spouse. In other words, this is even more evidence of premeditated adultery.
It does not “just” happen.
The sad thing is that some people will play along with the Cheater’s lies. They don’t want to face reality. Instead, they will play along with the veneer provided by the Cheater of an “excuse.” This can be very disorienting for the faithful spouse. It arguably is gas-lighting.
What the faithful spouse needs is the truth. Their worst suspicions are likely true.
There is no point to having contraception if you are practicing abstinence during this time of marriage troubles. Someone only needs contraception if they need to stop a pregnancy. That means sex is happening.
