Eight years ago, I was in a much different place around this time. It was the season my first marriage imploded.
All sorts of horrors came forth during that season. Yet God sustained me. He was there with me through the fires of life sending His people (and His angels, I am convinced) to preserve me.
Theses days I am struck at how my marriage to Mrs. DM is almost the same length as my first marriage was when it ended.
What a difference!
As we draw near our sixth anniversary later this month, I recall “celebrating” my sixth anniversary apart from my first wife with the new found knowledge that she had been cheating on me for months.
I am SOOO grateful for Mrs. DM (and Munchkin).
When I was going through that awful time, I could not imagine this day. Yet this day is here: full of blessings and fullness of life.
My encouragement to those of you struggling today is to remind you that God can turn it around. He did it for me…not immediately but also in not a very long time, in my opinion.
God, the Lord Jesus Christ, sustained me through the fires as well. Thanks!
