So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning.
-Job 42:12a, NLT
Cheaters enjoy being the center of your attention.
The best revenge is one where they are irrelevant to your life. You are too busy with the new life God has given you to even think of them.
Your cheater is relegated to an unpleasant footnote to your life story.
I get the impulse to want them to feel your pain. But some cheaters are simply incapable of such empathy. Others are too selfish to ever care.
Holding onto them with anger in your heart following your divorce simply is hurting you.
The best thing you can do is hand them over to God–trusting He will do justly and rightly–and move on with your life without them. Often this choice to hand them over to God will need to be made multiple times as the injustice and hurt is deep.
Stop giving the cheater the satisfaction that you pine after them or allow them to “live rent free” in your head (as the saying goes).
Get busy living! You have so many better things than to let one disordered freak hold you back!!!
