A wise man fears and departs from evil,
But a fool rages and is self-confident.-Proverbs 14:16, NKJV
This proverb caught my eye today.
I think it fits, sadly, many cheaters and others fully committed to their sin. They are angry when called on their folly while also confident in being “right.”
This is not a new phenomenon.
Humans have behaved this way all the way back when this verse was first written. That means, humans, have been like this for thousands of years, at least.
This proverb speaks about the cheater who is over-committed to their sinful folly. It pictures what a hard heart looks like in response to wisdom calling for repentance.
The hard-hearted do not turn from their folly but react in anger to anyone daring to point it out. It is best to move on from such folk.
