For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
-2 Corinthian 5:10, KJV
Never, ever concede to even partial blame when it comes to the cheating of your partner.
If a counselor or pastor tries to blame you, it is time to leave. These folks are not approaching the situation from a godly perspective.
We are not responsible for another person’s actions or sins!
As long as the blame is focused on the faithful spouse, it creates the impossibility of true repentance on the part of the cheater. How can a cheater change their behavior if they believe it is driven by others?
Repentance and change begins with the cheater taking full responsibility for their infidelity.
Never, ever accept blame for their cheating! Ever.
