My book manuscript is awaiting its polishing by my hired editor–hopefully–sometime this week. In the meantime, I am trying to nail down the book cover design.
From feedback, I have asked him to draft up a few more covers. I am deciding to shy away from images with crosses featured prominently as many of us here have experienced spiritual abuse on top of all the other ones.
This book is aimed to help faithful spouses who need a pastor to speak encouragement and strength into their life. I don’t want someone to see the cover and assume it will be another “forgive them,” beat-down book.

Oh No! That’s a hard one. I really like any one of them with the light or flame. The first time around I really liked #3 but now I really like #1 too.
But if I had to make a choice I still think I would pick #3 🙂
Absolutely #1, the single candle in the dark which represents faith in the dark. I am strongly averted to the bed ones. The candle represents faith to me. Better than the electric light I think.
I really like #1!!!

I like #1 but not sure anout the red candle – something more peaceful and traditional maybe – what about a pascal candle? I like the trinity symbolism of #2 if but again, the flames could be more subdued. Not keen on the others.
I like #1
The single lit candle. #1
