When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. I have posted the above verses that remind us to whom we belong.
It is easy to feel abandoned when passing through life’s turbulent rivers and blistering fires. You might not feel it. But that does not mean these verses are false. It just means the fire is especially intense and the waves are especially punishing.
But you will not be swept under.
You won’t be set ablaze.
God promises this to His children:
He will not let you go.
He called you by name.
You are His precious, precious child.
Sometimes the best prayer is a song. I leave you with the following song that was a fervent prayer of mine while fighting the fires and raging rivers of infidelity, divorce, and too many betrayals:
