We were not made for human marriage.

Our eternal relationship is primarily with God. We were designed to worship and serve Him like the angels.

Some pastors lose sight of this when dealing with the sins of adultery and the question of divorce. 

They believe their job is to rescue troubled marriages. Divorce is treated as the enemy as opposed to the sins of adultery. It is SO backwards!

The priority needs to be upon the soul–both the soul of the adulterous spouse and their victim’s.

I think God is less interested in people avoiding divorce than He is in people avoiding, soul-damning sin!
