Testify!

Sometimes it is impossible to see through the tears.

You feel like you have planted a whole NATION of fields with your tears and are still going.

I know.

Been there.

The darkness seems so dark.

You may see no way forward. Life has lost all color. It feels like sawdust in your mouth. Hope seems like a luxury of the delusional. It’s you who is living in the real world, and it’s a stinky one.

I am here to encourage you today if you find yourself in this place.

A little over three years ago, I could never imagine myself in the place I am today. My life had fallen apart including my career and dreams for the future. Everything seemed to be death and ash.

But for God…

Today, I testify to my Savior who continues to restore what the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25).

God has brought two amazing gals into my life: My wife, Mrs. DM, who is more than I could ever imagine to have discovered or landed as a true, loyal friend and spouse. Munchkin, who is the joy and laughter in my life. I have reaped a full and overflowing harvest with them alone…

And it gets better….

My career is going wonderfully. I am doing meaningful work and am flourishing. I have found my calling and am valued, appreciated for the excellence I provide as a professional chaplain.

A little over three years ago, I had no idea about the career of a chaplain. Yet I am here today:

A professional, board certified chaplain (BCC).

God has truly done amazing things for me!

I do not know what God is going to do in your life. But I am hear to testify that darkness “today” may just be prelude to something good beyond your imagination “tomorrow.” 

Do not give up.

Dawn still comes…even if the night is darker than any before!
