When even a cheater spouse announces divorce, the feeling can be devastating.
I know that is how I felt when my ex made the announcement about seeing a divorce attorney. The loss of dreams, security, and future are incredible. It is not surprising such news can put a faithful spouse in shock.Shock is a normal grief response to overwhelming loss news.
I want to encourage you if you find yourself in this place today. The pain does come to an end. You DO have a future! What the future is I cannot tell you today. I didn’t know what it was on that awful day myself. But I am SO glad I persevered through the shock and grief!!!We never know what beautiful thing will begin from even the worst of endings.
I can testify to God taking my awful ending and birthing something SO beautiful that my wildest dreams could never conceive of it then!Choose to believe God’s word when He says,
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
-Ephesians 3:20-21, KJV
“We never know what beautiful thing will begin from even the worst of endings.”
So true. I encourage all who are in the pit of despair; there is good to come. Take care of yourself, get the help you need and each day look for something to enjoy. Chances are really good that in time you will come out of it not only ok, but better than the cheater.
