When talking about infidelity, many fail to state an obvious spiritual truth:

This is spiritual warfare!

The Devil wants to devour Christians. I personally believe he is having great success in this area.

He is both destroying cheaters spiritually and bringing faithful spouses along for the ride. He does this in part by suggesting God believes the lie that the faithful spouse deserved such dastardly treatment.

God is on the side of life and truth. He does not support such lies–e.g. faithful spouses are partially to blame for being cheated on and/or discarded.

Do not believe the hype.

Be alert, instead.

Satan might already have your unrepentant cheater. But he does not also have to get you, too. Make him choke on the truth that you know and wield:

You are not responsible–even in part–for another’s sin (see 2 Corinthians 5:10)!

And God is NEVER the author of this or any other evil but only of good (see James 1:17)!
