True god of some Cheaters

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

-Matthew 6:21, NIV

24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

-Matthew 6:24, NLT

“Mine, mine, mine!” cries Cheater once financial consequences start flowing their way.

Whatever is holy or untouchable is a sign of what one truly worships. Cheaters often treat their bank account and possessions as such. They view faithful spouses as committing sacrilege by relying on “their” money.

And how dare you expect them to split up the assets evenly?! They bought them with “their own” money!

Long gone are the days of “what is mine is yours.” They are only interested in keeping everything that they can. Spending money on the affair isn’t a problem in their mind as this money is “their” money and serves their pleasures.

Sure, Cheaters might profess to follow Christ. However, their behavior belies otherwise. They do not follow the Ten Commandments including the first commandment not to have any other gods (see Exodus 20).
