How can it not at some point? It has to be exhausting keeping up their house of lies. Gaslighting takes some real effort. Double lives don’t “just happen” either.
In the midst of such strain, you might see a crack. They may give you a partial confession of their wrongdoing. They may admit they are in the wrong. But for an unrepentant Cheater, this is a fleeting admission that is easily missed.
Plus, their admission is usually purposely vague. To give you concrete details would be to give you the power of knowledge. Cheaters are not into equalizing that power differential.
