But if you fail to keep your word, then you will have sinned against the LORD, and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.
-Numbers 32:23, NLT (emphasis mine)
What amazes me is how cheaters seem to believe their sins and treachery are beyond discovery by faithful spouses!
To be fair, they may have been living a double life for months or even years without consequences. This experience–of avoiding discovery and consequences–may have lulled them to sleep.
After all…
Some cheaters are especially well-accomplished liars and deceivers–that’s not a complement, by the way!
But a reckoning is coming.
To use the King James version of the verse quoted above:
…be sure your sin will find you out.
It is not a matter of if but rather a matter of when that sin will be discovered and the cheater exposed.
The cheater might look all surprised or shocked–as I remember mine did–when they learn that you know.
But really?! Did you really believe you are so clever as to never have slipped–even for a moment?
That’s all it takes:
One slip…one forgotten password…one forgotten electronic device…one errant word…one strange receipt…and ALL IS EXPOSED!
What can I say:
Pride is blinding and cheaters are full of it!
