Holy Saturday is the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
This is when Jesus laid in the grave. His disciples were grappling with the reality of his death. They were likely fearing what the Romans and angry Pharisees might do to them.
The point is Holy Saturday is a day when all seemed hopeless for Jesus followers.
You may be enduring your own Holy Saturday season right now. It might seem hopeless and dark. I know. I’ve been there myself.
However, the wisdom of Holy Saturday is how it did come to an end.
Darkness gave way to dawn.
So, it was in my situation, too. The darkness did not last forever–even though, it felt like it might in the moment.
