But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
– Hebrews 11:6, KJV
We were singing this song in church today. The lyrics struck me as good reminders for those who find themselves in the depths of grief and destruction. A time when all is darkness.
Sometimes we need to walk forth in faith.
Trusting our spiritual eyes more than our natural ones.
We can put our trust in God.
Trusting not in our own reasoning and abilities, but in the One who made Heaven and Earth. We trust in God’s character and goodness. We place ourselves in the hands of the Person.
It is an act of defiance. We refuse to allow the Kingdom of Darkness to dictate our attitudes or our relationship with our loving Father even if circumstances are awful.
We go “all in” with God who calmed the storms and told us someone with a mustard seed of faith could uproot a mighty mountain.
It is well with our souls!
