They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
-Psalm 126:5, KJV
This evening I had the task of changing out the deadlocks in a couple of doors. As I was working on the front door, I remembered the last time I did this.
The last time I changed out locks was when I was dealing with my cheating ex-wife at our condo. She threw a fit, as I remember it, claiming such actions was my attempt to “steal her stuff.”
I had to change those locks back as I could not keep her out of our jointly owned condo. Thankfully, I ended up moving so that her presence at anytime was no longer a threat.
What a difference six years and a merciful divorce make!
Today, I changed locks on my new home. Tomorrow, I will be moving into it with Mrs. DM and Munchkin. The changing of locks was to make the place secure.
It was a good changing of locks.
Sure, the memories are there. However, we have opportunities to make new and good memories each day…like I did today and will tomorrow.
Do not let the bad memories of the past keep you from making a better life through making good memories today and tomorrow!
The pain does pass.
God IS faithful. I know as I have seen Him working as such myself.
Congratulations on the new home! 🙂
Thanks!
