3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
-2 Corinthians 1:3-4, KJV
I could have remain silent.
I could have hoarded the comfort God gave to me.
I could have ignored the need for a pastor advocating for faithful spouses.
I could have kept my thoughts on adultery, abandonment, and divorce private.
These were all options. (Not to mention, I could have saved myself considerable expense running this website).
However, I felt God calls me to do something about this problem. God gives us a testimony with which He expects us to strengthen our brothers and sisters in this difficult spiritual journey.
I feel blessed to be able to make a small contribution through Divorce Minister: Taking Adultery Seriously to help other faithful spouses and their supporters as they struggle with their faith and their situations.
We are comforted to comfort…not hoard it all for ourselves. We are to be channels of God’s comfort to a hurting world.
My hope is faithful spouses who come to these digital shores experience some of God’s loving comfort here.
Thank you DM for being faithful to the call to do this. I am one who has been greatly comforted and helped through your site. God bless you!!
Thanks, A! My privilege to serve.
