Eight years ago, today, I exchanged marriage vows and Mrs. DM became Mrs. DM.

It was probably the happiest day of my life to date. We couldn’t stop grinning the whole wedding ceremony.

I am so grateful for Mrs. DM. We have now been a couple longer than my first marriage to my Cheater. In fact, we have now been together longer than I was ever with my Cheater.

This is something I share to encourage those of you who fear the second marriage divorce statistics. The second marriage can be the (much) better option as I am experiencing.

My life is so rich because Mrs. DM is part of it!

With her, I became a dad to Munchkin. That girl continues to bring the joyous laughter to the halls of my soul. Some days, I can hardly believe that I get to be her dad.

So many wonderful things have changed beside that for me by marrying Mrs. DM:

A notable change was in my pets. I was introduced to the world of parrot rescues. Now, we have FIVE parrots! That would have never happened if I had not married Mrs. DM. They help make our house a home. I am grateful each of them and their very different personalities.
