In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless!
-Ecclesiastes 8:14b, NLT
These words seem like they were written today and not as they were–i.e. thousands of years earlier!
I bet many here can relate to them. Faithful spouses experience incredible injustices at the hands of cheaters and others who refuse to face the evil the cheater committed.
It is painful. Yet we are not alone in feeling this way. Our experience of injustice in this life is not unique.
I find comfort in this.
God is not surprised by such an experience. He knows we experience life this way. In fact, He experienced it firsthand when He was unjustly convicted and crucified.
God “gets it.”
I also take comfort knowing injustice does not get the last word. God does. He is good and just.
Whenever you feel tormented by the wicked prospering and you suffering, remember God is not blind to the injustice and trust Him to handle the matter. You do not have to be god. He is far more just and good than you ever could be.
