One thing that is astounding looking back is how unaware of their arrogance Cheaters and their supporters were.

They will lecture the adultery victim about being a “good Christian” while cheating or supporting the Cheater. With absolutely no humility, they could not see that they were morally disqualified from delivering such messages–especially if it was the Cheater speaking.

Yet they still did.

They had “haughty eyes.”

In their minds, they were coming from a place of superiority to the faithful spouse. The lack of awareness was and is truly breathtaking!

Honestly, I believe cheating manifests from a heart filled with pride. This heart has decided that he or she is entitled to what they want even if that means cheating. Ultimately, the spiritual cancer cannot be dealt with until that pride is silenced and humility leads through repentance.
