Tragedy and Gratitude

So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning.

-Job 42:12a, NLT

One of the biggest tragedies is the utter waste Cheaters create through their dastardly discard of us, faithful spouses.

Just when we might be able to taste the fruit of sacrifice, Cheaters pull out the rug beneath our feet. They implode what was about to bear fruit… for them, too!

Yet I am grateful for where I am at today!

I am prospering in my work-life. My family life is rich with Mrs. DM and Munchkin. Plus, I have the joy of five(!) parrots to keep me busy with pet love.

Yet I cannot help but see the tragedy of what my Cheater did. It did not have to be that way; but God allows people to choose sin over godliness and suffer loss.

So true. Yes I lost what I had worked for so hard by his side to help him get the opportunity he had. I lost it all, and it felt like at the time he just handed it over to a woman who did nothing for him.

But, he descended into chaos and bankruptcy; lost his promotion etc. He was darned lucky to keep his job. (direct report).

I turned my sights to my life and going to school and working hard and it didn’t take long for me to start getting opportunities and promotions. My sweet husband of many years has benefitted from that; just as I have benefitted from the successes he has had throughout our marriage.
