Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
-Hebrews 11:1, NASB
Walking by faith is not easy.
I think this is part of the reason doing so is so pleasing to God (Hebrews 11:6). He understands this is hard way to go. It takes discipline.
-We have to discipline our spiritual senses to see what God sees.
-We have to discipline our emotions not to lead us astray.
-We have to discipline our minds to focus on the truth of who God is.
This is easier said than done when going through life trauma. But it is still worth doing.
Remember that God is “a good bet.”
God may be calling you to trust Him. He might be leading you today to let go of the past and trust He has good things in store for you in your future.
It might feel like stepping into total darkness to follow His call. You might be filled with all sorts of fears.
You are facing your moment of faith. Will you walk by faith believing in God’s goodness or refuse to walk trusting in your own sight rather than God’s?
Remember Who is calling you and remember He is good and faithful!
